I passed 140.000 words on the Second Draft this week. That was the initial length of the First Draft. As I write and rewrite the story, it’s becoming painfully clear that the novel is probably going to exceed the original 140k mark by a wide margin. Is this a good thing? Maybe. More story for you to read, yay! But I will have to be careful not to overdo things, and will probably shrink it back to size in v3.0. How much of that will get cut out…well, we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.
