Weekly progress: CW23 & CW24-2024

• not much added to the Second Draft, but I did do a lot of outline work and background research to cover some of the very apparent plot holes in the manuscript. Turns out doing academic research on your own world-building can be very fun…and very distracting.
• Finished reading Sanderson’s Way of Kings. It didn’t take me as long as I expected, but that’s only because I also bought an audiobook to complement my reading between coffee breaks. As I expected, there was much to love about the book, probably enough to get me invested in the series. The only downside is, I’ll have to do an intense book+audiobook combo read if I want to finish the remaining three books before Stormlight 5 comes out at the end of the year!
